how does it work
when no one listens
when there's another
person dead
in this circle called
adolscence
another junkie graces
the cover of a tombstone
when her blood runs dry
after she decides she's fed up
did I really accomplish anything?
there's a story in every room
there's a problem in every closet
there's the riddle of why, in every thought
it's not the answer you know
far from it
I've been there, done that
with my blood escaping
someone'is there for you
no matter what you think
I wasn't there for you that day
we weren't there for each other
now i talk to others when i see
the destruction in their eyes
because at 15, my life is hard enough
same as someone elses
there are other girls who've been
through the nightmare I have
So when your skies turn black
and your heart feels dead
can you remember that I'm still alive
and you're going to be able to say that to
because you know you've just survived
another day

Regina, my favourite line:
there's the riddle of why, in every thought

indeed, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going...suicide may seem terribly appealing at times but it shouldnt be a viable option...kudos to you..

Regina you always hit the truth so hard in your poems. This was so bleak but then at the end it turned hopeful. I liked seeing the contrasts. I loved how you worded this, as always. You wrote this beautifully and honestly. Always loved that about your works. Keep writing hun. this is in the library

Regina, I am impressed immencely by the overall structure and flow of this piece. It truly speaks to the writer and your pain is evident to such extrodinary lengths. Through each line there is a captivating essence that cannot help but draw the reader in. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I really enjoyed this. Maybe Another Day may have been a more effective title than none? Just a thought.
