*for Steve, who will never get the chance to read this...*

I love the way you make me feel
The way you make me smile whenever you look at me
When your name pops up on the computer screen
To show that you have written
I am smitten...all over again
I love the way you smell,
With your Acqua di Gio cologne on.
Aimlessly wandering through the mall,
Where we've been together, I spray myself at Kaufman's so that I can smell like you (almost) all day long.
Want to buy a bottle to spritz on my bedsheets
So that when I am trying to fall asleep
I'll close my eyes, thinking of you still
And maybe you'll invade my dreams.
Never thought I'd fall in love with someone who needs to be so..."detached"
When all I want to do
Is tackle you
Take you down to the ground and cover you with my kisses
Know about all your wishes and try to make them all come true
But even if I can't come through
You'd still know that I only want the best for you.
I need to feel the reciprocation of your love to make my life "complete."
Hate the way I feel like I have to compete
With your ex
Wish you'd just fall in love with me
Realize how good we would be (together)
How much better off your life could be
With me always wanting you to be happy.
Want you to be elated about the fact that we are dating;
Want you to feel so lucky because I care so much about you--could be with only you for the rest of my life
And to anyone, I am sure that means a lot
Because to me, it means that you are all I could ever need or want
And isn't that enough for you?
And if I could--and if it'd work--I'd give up food to be with you
Then, I would be so skinny that I'd work my way into that tiny space in your heart
(The place where it is broken.)
Maybe you don't understand the depth, capacity, or capability of my heart
But in time--you will see...
That all you ever needed was me.

Words_of_Glitter-
This is so beautifully written, and this
part in particular...

"And if I could--and if it'd work--I'd   give up food
to be with you
Then, I would be so skinny that I'd work my way
into that tiny space in your heart
(The place where it is broken.)"

Excellent!  I absolutely love this, and
I felt the love and emotion as I read.
VERY well done!
Hugs,
~Vicky
