You were a lost soul
but not a lost cause

the tyranny of life
has caught you in its jaws

i'll be there to see you through it
but you must do it yourself

i'll be there to give support
but it comes down to your own health

temporarily you lost your way
and i'll bet you were afraid

but as time goes on (as it does)
even this will fade

this doesn't change my love for you
nothing ever can

it WILL change the way we interact
but i'll be there to hold your hand

as time goes by your heart will heal
you've started a new life

a life jampacked with happiness
not bitterness and strife

with you fresh start your free to do
whatever you would like

the path you choose is yours alone
but i hope i'm on it Mike.
