Why does she always do this?
Make me feel as if I don’t exist?

She walks through the door,
No hello,
No how was your day,
No smile,
Just straight to her room,
To waste away the rest of the day.

She’s always on the phone,
Never talking to me,
Always talking ABOUT me.

How I make her life miserable,
How I have no respect,
She says,
“I’m going to send her to her dads.”

I know she means it,
She doesn’t want me,
She doesn’t want to take responsibility.

She takes the easy way out,
She always has,
She never wants to try,
All she wants is to say goodbye.

She never pays attention to me,
She never asks how school was,
She never asks about my life,
And never hears me say,
I wish I could die.

Right now it seems like the best thing to do,
I’m through,
Through with her,
Through with my life.

She doesn’t know she means everything to me,
Without her,
I’d be lost.

I wouldn’t make it with my dad,
I’d already be dead.

If she would only have paid attention to me,
If she took a second not to yell,
To actually stop and look,
Turn off the phone mom,
Take a good look.

Take a look at your daughter and what she’s become,
She looks depressed,
Always down in the dumps.

Have you taken a good look MOM?
To notice my arms?
The scars,
You make me feel so bad,
Cutting my arms makes me feel,
It’s make me feel better than the way you make me feel,
You make me feel so small,
Why don’t you stop and look MOM,
Before you shove me into that wall?
Stop and think about what your doing,
Your holding that rope MOM,
And I’m taking the fall.

Take a minute MOM,
Before you go to the bar,
Turn around,
Hold out your arms,
And just give me a hug.

There’s nothing you can do now that will make me feel different,
You’ve lost my respect MOM,
All of it,
Maybe you should show me that you care,
Because right now,
You make me feel that you don’t,
So next time you slap me,
Next time you push me,
And the next time you don’t come home,
Take just one second MOM,
And just turn to me and say,
“How was your day?”

"One day you'll love me as I onced loved you,
one day you'll cry over me, as I once cried over
you, and one day you'll want me but I won't want you.

Wow, this was great, but you should talk to your mother, no matter how hard it may seem.  She gave you life, and has made you the person you are today.  If that doesnt work, because sometimes situations can not be changed, talk to someone else.  Email me ok, I'm serious, if you need to talk I am always on.

Zombie

Torn are her limbs
By quiet hands that
Tug life(color) out of her.
Gnawing edges round
Into a broken(satisfying)
Shadow

Wow, this was wonderful.  The poem was great.  It hit home on too many levels.  I hope you are OK.  I dont live w/ my mom, but sometimes I feel the same way about my dad, just not to the same extent.  Give me an email if you ever want to talk ok?

Ahh! My name my name she stole my name!
Okay, okay, I suppose we can share. This caught my attention for obvious reasons, and others...mothers. This was a bit long and I have a short attention span today, but hey, I still liked it...nice work, Carly. How weird is that!?
