Nearly twenty years
and still no idea
the sun rises each day
and disappears in the dark
but that's all I knew
for certain
-until him-
Now the whole world
begins to make sense
and I know what I'm here for
and I know where to go.
His beauty expressed
in every flower that opens-
and in the rain that comes down
in the summer.
The love in my heart,
always blooms greater
with the end of each day
when the sun
disappears
in
the
dark.

Afterthought: Well I realize this is a bit ambiguous in meaning but where would the fun be if I told you what I wrote it about. Tell me what you got from it.

I like this poem. very well written. I like how it is open to many different views for people to see it in. It could be seen in a way of talking about a boyfriend, or even just a friend, maybe a long lost loved one. depending on how people wanted to view it. keep up the good work.

If you have any suggestions on how to make my peom better it is very welcomed.

i dunno..as soon as i saw the title i thought that this poem belonged in Spiritual, you write this as though youre talking about god, but then again it DOES seem like youre talking about a guy. you COULD be equating this guy with "godliness"...thats MY safest bet
good poem jenn...its nice seeing you happy

Torn are her limbs
By quiet hands that
Tug life(color) out of her.
Gnawing edges round
Into a broken(satisfying)
Shadow

Great poem Jenn, thank you for sharing it with us. I thought you were talking about a guy but I can see how it could be god or whatever. A very nice read

See this through and leave my friend, the tears will come and I will end.

I wrote this with regards to my boyfriend...but somehow everything I write about him seems religious after I put it to paper. Like...I guess thats a good thing... hehe

EwwWWwwwWWWwww....love...

Nah just kidding, Jenndaline. 'tis a sweet piece and you should show this to your Mister Man. He'd be flattered...or if you're not with him, he might charge you with stalking and get a restraining order out against you.
There are some really nice images in here and the symbolism rocks.

Very nicely done. Be proud.

This one could definately be taken either way. But either way I liked it. I would write more but I have to go
