Run away with me tonight
Rescue me before its to late
carry me off on horseback
battle the clock, battle my fate

Run away to a far off place
to castles, to fairytales
be my Knight in shining armor
defeat the dragon, hero prevails

Carry me off to magical forests
Protect me from the evil beasts
call around your loyal subjects
Be ready for welcome home feasts

Bask with me in sunfilled spaces
Pick flowers in the colorful pastures
swim with me beneath waterfalls
run with me, avoiding capture

Run away with me tonight
Save me from nomality
take me to my Camelot
Be my escape from reality

*I have to credit Kristen with the Camelot idea, she set my mind in motion a couple weeks ago, and so bgan my daydreams...

Knights and white stallions...what beautiful images..wouldnt it just be great if we could escape reality with a prince or something??

I really enjoyed this poem, especially the last line about escaping reality...when we're little we imagine these fairytale lives and then as we get older we stop believing in that because it just sounds silly....it'd be nice if more people didn't outgrow that part of childhood. Awesome job
