Lost backwards trying to get forward

Just to be seen proud
Unforgiven days blurred by a drunken shout
“ is there a way out?!!”
trapped in places I’ve already been
forgotten dreams, never pretend
drown my mistakes in a place where I can swim
regretfully sure of all misfortune
to be more than me
greater than my unrelenting poison…..”the dream”
find grace, taken in by a forgiving ocean wave
all are punished
still searching for something
tired and running fast
time to turn accept my demons, embrace the past
find my way to sleep
avoid falling too deep
close my eyes, wander off to my relief
holding close every second within that dream
smile a little longer, laugh a little harder, enjoy my own grin
because my eyes will open in the morning
and I know…......
tomorrow I’ll have to start all over again.

This is very good. I like it a lot. It sort of explains to me what life really is, not just what people wish it is. I don't know if that's what you meant by it, but that's what it means to me.

I give a whole new meaning to the word 'sad.'

i like it a lot probably because thats how i feel about every day. for every day tis a new battle i enjoyed reading your poem!

as u go in life there will be ur hardships it is up to u if it makes u or breaks u.
