Who’s out there for me

My heart beats for only one
Yet that one is not here
With her heart beating next to mine

I’m saddened by the fact
That sometimes love is not enough
Where the one you love doesn’t love you back
Some people call it the real world
So do I live a fake life?

My feelings for her extend through all barriers
I accept her for who she is
I love her for all her positives and all her negatives
Her smile lifts me when I’m at my lowest
Like a ray of sunshine on a rainy day

One day I hope to kiss her
As she’s dressed in white
And I’m in my penguin suit
After I confess all that I feel to you to the whole world
I’ll kiss you

Then many years from now
We’ll look back at our present time right now
Have a good laugh about it
And when it’s all said and done
There’ll be only one thing left to do

I’ll hold you in my arms till you fall asleep
Let you have “your side” of the bed
Look up at the ceiling
Tell you that I’ll never love anyone like you
And then I’ll wake up

i know exactly how u feel when u say that your not loved back, ive been there before. don't worry though it will get better. i liked your poem, i can relate to it.
