I’ve got a wounded heart
It’s still bleeding as we speak
I’d fix it myself but right now I’m too weak
I can’t take the arrow out of this part

The only one who can help me
Is the person who did this to me in the first place
The person who started all these games
That’s the only one who can help me from bleeding so badly

You’d think a simple apology
Or a simple sign of affection would be the cure
But those are harder to find in somebody who’s not pure
So I lay here hoping before I die that, that person would wake up and save me

That person knows the kind of condition I’m in
Knows that I can break all ties between us
If I don’t gain that person’s trust
We could lose everything we had just started to begin

But when there’s no hope
And time is fading quickly
Sometimes it’s best to end ties with people who aren’t worthy
Sometimes it’s best to leave a misguided soul broken
Because then maybe someday
They’ll go through exactly what you’ve been through
And just maybe they’ll understand you
Understand that they were the only one who could fix your bleeding heart

While reading the poem this quote stuck out in my mind "who do you turn to when the only one who can stop you from crying is the exact person who is making you cry" ....I thought this poem was written well..it had emotion in it and its unfortunately a very common occurance in all of our lifes....thanks for sharing

Wonderful qoute Mon Cherie!

Wow. Heart break is very hard to deal with you. But with time, it feels better. It stings, and then fades... although you probably feel like it won't. So give it time... and in the meantime, keep writing about it. It helps.

Well done...I can totally relate.If only he knew what you felt hey? But some people are helpless when we let our emotions become so dependent on them. I like how this poem has very strong emotion expressed with intense words.Hope to hear more!
