Tx...need i say more

0 posted 2002-01-11 04:39 PM

I cry myself asleep, again tonight
there's a poison growing within you.
the doctors say 'it'll be ok'
but their eyes show the truth.

so what do i say to you?
how do i cling to you?
you gave me life,
and as i watch yours slowly fade,
i sit alone and cry silent tears.

what did you do to deserve this?
i would trade my life for yours if i could.
let me go, while you stay.
a month? maybe two? it's not long enough.

I'll share your cancer,
i'll share your fears.
my cancer flows
with every single tear.

i wish i could change it all,
make you well again,
the love that only a mother can give,
will be the void in my life, forever more.

Of all the people i admire, the one who can make me laugh i admire the most.

Just by the poem I can see that you really loved the person it's about. I'm speechless at this poem---I don't know what to say.

Look, if you ever need to talk...my e-mail's open. (ssvegeta@icenter.net) I really enjoyed this poem---don't be afraid to mail me.

By your post count you're fairly new to PiP---welcome. I hope you feel welcome as well as you should. Feel free to post moreof your poetry---I'm already a fan of your work.

The trick is to know when to walk away---and TO KNOW WHEN TO RUN!!!

It's really sad to hear this... And I do understand how you feel, coz I've watched a loved one battle against sickness too. Whatever happens, I hope you would stay strong. Remember that we are always here if you need to unload some of the agony you're feeling.

Oh, wow.  That's so sad... *wipes a tear*  This one's a tear-jerker...

Cancer is definitely a frightening reality.  Especially if you've lost someone to it.

Wonderful write.  I enjoyed it, and look forward to more.
