Hey, well this being my first post, this may not be the greatest thing ever, but i'd like to know what you think lyric wise. this was actually a song i wrote during 1st period my freshman year right after i found out that a good friend of mine had died at the age of 16. i wrote this and performed it at his funeral, not bad for a freshman

Title: Danny

You always said you wanted to live,
a life, just a little less ordinary.
there were so many new things,
to see and do,

All these hopes and dreams,
so little time it seems
oh no one thought it would ever happen,
not to you.

Chorus:
No one was willing to say goodbye,
close my eyes and begin to cry,
oh and none of us could have ever been prepared.
the only thing that we've got left,
are the times we had before you left,
so here's to all the memories we shared.

yes, it's sad, but time will heal,
all the pain inside we feel.
with the help of god's great grace.

and i just can't wait for the day,
when i know that i can say,
friend it's good to see your face..

Repeat Chorus (2x)

Welcome to PIP!!!
This was such a sad, yet incredible post. I was melting in my chair, actually. But that's besides the point...hehe.
I'm sorry to hear of your friend's passing, but you're right, time will heal. This is such a great post, and I could almost hear the tune inside my head (I'm not as musically challenged as one may thing). I'm looking forward to seeing more from you! God bless!

Hey, thanks a lot
ok, well i've been trying to find posting guidelines, and i mean, granted it's a little late and i'm tired, but i'm not that stupid. i just can't find them. what's the rule on posting? 1 a day or how is it? because i have a lot of songs and poems that i want responses on, and the pffa kept deleting all of mine, for one i would post more than 1 a day, and 2 the moderator didn't like me lol. well if you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the limit is 3 posts a day, but you can post replies to as many poems as you like. And it can't be anything about suicide. You can find the rules in the "members" section. *smiles*
Peace out.
