alcohol is only a key to a demise,
but you know that...
you've shoved your key into the door,
it's swinging open wide...
and you're on your way,
to the other side.
love..
it's the reason!
the reason why you swallowed
the bitter liquid down.
lost love...
forgotten love...
you don't even remember anymore, do you?
desperately, you still cling to your excuses
you even say it makes the demons,
vanish from your mind.
but then i think,
maybe i should deal with my demons,
instead of watching myself slowly die.

~help with the title from Dirk, he may be kind of an ass, but hey, he thought of a better title then i did.

maybe i'll catch fire, something nice to warm me. something pure to burn away the darkness, that hides inside my mind. -alkaline trio-

hey-the title isn't the important part it's the context of the poem

i liked the last two lines...its nice to find something to hold onto- or to change into. good write....keep strong.

could the darkness be my friend?
