you use to tell me you loved me.
you would never leave me.
but now i'm grown and you're not here.
i'm almost 20 but you don't care.
it's been nine years since i've seen you.
you use to tell me you loved me.

you use to tell me you loved me.
but did you really?
you HAD a title but you lost it.
do you remeber what that title was?
it was father.
you use to tell me you loved me.

you use to tell me you loved me.
now that love is gone.
there is nothing you can do to redeem it.
i use to tell you I LOVED YOU.
now i don't.
you use to tell me you loved me.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
you use to tell me you loved me.
now that love is gone.
it left when you left me.
i don't hear the I LOVE YOU anymore.
maybe it's a good thing i don't.
i never heard you say you loved me.

love me and rhonda for ti loves us!

This poem is really great.  I'm sorry to hear about the way it worked out with your dad, I feel for you.  But I really liked this poem so I hope you don't mind me adding ti to my library!

This is so sad... a definite tear-jerker.  I'm sorry that this happened to you.  A very hard thing to deal with... but hang in there
And keep writing about it.  It helps.
I enjoyed this.

Awwwies! Robin! *hug*
This is sad. I'm sorry this happened. But you know, actions speak louder than words, so if you know yourself, and you know your worth, no one needs to tell you that they love you because really, you're already loved by everyone, and that's something you should already know, ne? ^_^ *hug* Keep up the heart. ^^

The love of a parent is said to be the greatest thing in the world---once you've lost that...what've you got when you feel alone? It's important that you pull through from this...because when you do---you'll be stronger than the average joe out there! You'll know a sense of freedom, power, responsibility like none other...I'm still debating whether that's good or not---but you'll definetly stick out of a crowd.

I know how you feel...and the fact is---all I've ever wanted from my father is ANY sort of love. And he's left me...my mother---and my life.

This was really good! I honestly can say I enjoyed this ALOT!!! Thanks for sharing!

The trick is to know when to walk away---and TO KNOW WHEN TO RUN!!!

Aw, sweetie.... that's so sad and heartfelt. I wish things could be different for you. You seem to get the bad end of everything! Great write though, not that my opinion matters, cause YOU'RE the only one whose opinion matters!

I agree with Jesa. Writing is like therapy. It just puts all of that junk out that you've been hiding in your heart...so it's not so cramped anymore, you know? It does wonders really... BUT I hope it doesn't work too well my major is in psych and I want you guys to need me!!!

Nice poem Robin...
