He ran to the window and stared in the sky
And wishing, he closed his beautiful eyes
And all that he wished, was all on his mind
To fly, to fly
He could if he tried.
He trudged down the stairs,
Sleep still in his eyes
Wandering about
Unafraid of surprise.
His cloak hid his shadow,
His breath undefined
And little was known of his phantom disguise.
He darted through cupboards,
He scampered through rooms,
He crawled through a window
And stole the blue moon.
He danced to the music
Of midnight and stars
And he raced his space rocket
To Venus and Mars.
And finally dawn
Awoke from her sleep
To find the moon missing,
And in this boy's keep.
She begged and she begged
To have her love back
And guilt filled the boy,
So he opened his sack.
The moon floated up towards the bright sky
And hid behind clouds as he waved a goodbye.
And little tears stained the little boy's cheek...

As he silently wished he had wings in his keep.

This is a bit like my "Seraph" poem, and a bit like my "Beautiful Eyes" poem (which I have yet to post), this one is an "inbetweener" kind of poem. ^^; *duh* Well, anyways, I'm hoping I'll get my scanner fixed so that I CAN post "Beautiful Eyes". Although no one has any idea what the scanner has to do with it...o_O; Well, you'll soon see...IF I GET MY SCANNER FIXED!!! *mumble grumble snuffle socks~~~*
Well, enjoy, little ones (like I should talk, eh? Heh). ^_^ *pats everyone on the head*

Leah, Leah, Leah...

You've done it again.  Another thread into my library.  Another beautifully-written post to make me absolutely jealous.  Another... well, yes, you get the picture.  I am more than impressed with this.  The images you've portrayed are amazing.  This poem brings tears to my eyes, so I know it must mean heaps to Shnookums.

*sigh*

This is beautiful.  Simply outstanding.

(*gasp* And now Marie is at a loss for words.)

*whispers* Enjoy this while it lasts, it doesn't happen often.

*tip-toes out, but not before clicking the "into library" button*

Oooo....wow. This is beautiful. Albertia will be happy. That's two you've written about him now (as long as I can remember anyway ) The rhyme scheme is wonderful. It's different and reads extremely well. As per usual.

OMG! A freakin' white tail just crawled over my hand. *screaming* And it didn't bite...Must smell too much like cigarettes...

Anyway Madam Fajita, your brilliance exceeds that of this mortal realm. Write a book damnit. The world would love you.
