A river that constantly flows to the sea
Is marked by your love, to never run dry
The map that bestowed the warmth of your lips
Was given to me, to search in the sky.

I haven't the desire to wait for the clouds
I wish only to seek the stars every night
That shine in the sky, reminds me of you
A fire that burns of a heavenly light.

The wind laughs a tune that tickles my face
And plays with my hair, your hands, are they not?
The moon blushes red by the sun's morning rays
That reached out to touch the heart that was caught.

+ + + + +

I finally fell into that lovey dovey poem trap. x_X I really didn't enjoy writing this one. It's a little embarrassing for me to share this, since I never really share much love poetry. I really liked the second stanza. That was fun. But really, I don't think I'm one for writing love poetry...ne? ^_^;;; Never again. Hehe. ^_^

Awww Leah

A lovely love poem. While I don't care much for love itself, you've written some very beautiful sentiments here. Nice imagery. I particulary like the line about the wind tickling your face. Quite creative of you but that is to be expected.

Thanks for sharing. *hits love with a rubber bat*

Well, I think it's a very open-ended poem you have here.
It doesn't have to be about love you know. I mean U2 writes stuff like this and it's all about religion and other things.
So don't take yourself so seriously, if it's good it must be worth it, lovey dovey or not.

I can say I enjoyed this and am not ashamed. YOu shouldn't be
More More MORE!!

oh well good poem

"The moon blushes red by the sun's morning rays
That reached out to touch the heart that was caught."

This was a beautiful disply of the talent you possess, Lee-uh!  The images you've portrayed throughout this piece are breathtaking.  The rhyme scheme is very well done (which, doesn't surprise me - that seems to be something that's always flawless in your poems).  This is one of those pieces where rhyme isn't needed... the meter serves for the beat that it needs, and it's beautiful.

Wonderfully done.  I enjoyed this, as I do every one of your poems.  (I'm trying my best not to nag you for having a crush ).  I'll just say you should write love poems more often!

Beautiful write.
