All my life i've been told
that love is a wonderful thing
Somehow i dont agree.
I know for sure that love
is out to hurt you.
They say they love you
but the truth shows in the end.
HE'll say he loves you
then someday he'll tell you it's not true.
I know i love him and i know he loves me
But i'm not sure how long this will last.
Will he love me forever
or will love hurt again.........

I know this is sorta short but it's what i was thinking at the time. I'm not sure why though cause it really isn't how i feel.

Don't be sad because it's over smile because it happened!

Yes, love can hurt. Have you been through this before? Maybe that's why you were writing it.

Yea i have been through it with my step dad and my mom's ex boyfriend. that's prolly why i wrote it. Thanx for reading and replying~Cassi

At times in my life i completely agree with your poem and at others i dont...i guess it really depends on where you are at that moment in your life. Giving your heart to someone is actually ALLOWING them to hurt you because your in a vulnerable state but yet you cant truely love another without giving up your heart to them..so go figure huh?? You present an interesting thought in this poem...great poem i really liked it!
