In a dream world

A guardian angel sitting on her cloud
Smiling broadly, looking straight down
A child laying on a grassy field
Staring up at the puffy white clouds

The child giggles as he looks up
He sees his angel and feels her love
His mother looks on with smiling eyes
Knowing above them his angel hides

Looking up into the blue sky
She slowly begins to wonder why
She no longer sees her angel
or even feels her loving touch

In a moment she comes to realise
that there must be more to this
than she can see with her eyes
She must instead look with her heart

She lays back on the ground looking up
Grins broadly at the big white clouds
and quietly looks up with child like eyes
a giggle, a grin, and then back again

She sees her angel sitting high
smiling broadly, she wonders why
she never thought to look
through the wonders of a childs eyes.

If someone said, "Write a sentence about your life," I'd write "I want to go outside and play."

This is a very well written poem, Stace!  I'm impressed.  You've progressed so much as a poet.  It's amazing!  Wonderful work.  It amazes me the innocence children have.  The innocence I've always wished I could have back for one day.
Wonderful work.  I enjoyed this, as always.
