While I wanted to forget them

I want to thank you for that
We were two different people until
You asked me out
I love you, and I don’t want to lose you
Like I lost my dad
You’re always there to give me a hug
Or pick me up when I need it
I learned to trust you
I learned to love you
You learned how to return that love
That I give you everyday, every moment I live
You came in my life
Made everything a little better
And I want to thank you
