To my late Friend Jenna, who passed away March 28, 2001..

God works in mysterious ways,
You never know when you are going to parish from this earth,
But you live life for today and not tomorrow.

I learned that the hard way.
I thought a good friend of mine would always be there
I thought I would have more time to talk to her
Hang out and just be a teenager with.

But God saw her struggling and decided she would be better with him.
So on a Cold day,
March 28th to be exact,
We were all informed of her tragic death

The tears started to flow and my heart began to hurt,
I knew I would never see her warm smile again,
Not knowing who to turn to or what to do
I just sat in total shock.

But the shock about your death was still shady in my mind
Not really wanting to know what happened
But needing to know so I can put my dear friend to rest

The day of the funeral was difficult for everyone to bare,
Going to hear someone talk about her life
Didn’t seem real,
I could still see her in my mind and as if she was here still,
But seeing your urn there put everything into reality.

Your beautiful smile,
And the twinkle in your eyes,
Everyone will cherish in their hearts,
We all knew there was more life for you to give,
But it was cut too early,

So now all I have are memories,
I will treasure forever
But through the days, the months and years
There’s not one day that will ever pass
I won’t think of you,
And remember the time we did share.
And wait until the day I’ll see you once again

I felt your loss and strangely enough I too lost a best friend Jenna this year as well, and this time of year truly hits hard doesn't it?  All I can say is keep writing it out, and it helps.  What a sincere and respectfully done poem to your friend, and I thougth you may like to see mine to a Jenna too?

Joe- thank you for taking the time to read my poem, and I hope that you are feeling better from the lost of your friend. I know its hard, but as my mom says to me "time heals all wounds," it will get better but still hurt everytime you think about the memories and fun time you had with your friend. But remember their always with you and never will leave you.

Jenna~ Wow, I wonder if this is the same Jenna? I hope you are doing better, it is very had to loose such a great friend. But I think what really hurt me the most is when I gave her mom a hug, she started to cry and say "I heard her voice on the answering machine, God I miss her so much." All I could do is comfort her and tell her we are all praying for her. Well thank you for reading my poems, I hope to hear some from you.

Lauren~ Thank you for reading my poem, I hope that all is going well for you. I hope you are doing better after your loss of your friend. I just wonder why God takes away someone so young? Hmmm I guess we will never know until we parish from the earth? Right?
But something a friend told me on how to remember Jena, is that every time the sun shines and the wind blows through your hair she's right next to you, watching over you.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas... Thank you all again!!!
