only we could have a dad in our family
To keep things strait with everything
Sometimes I want cancer to disappear and never come back
It’s not fair losing a family member like that
They mean the world to everyone
Then one-day cancer hits them
And they start to get weaker
They can’t smile as much
They can’t laugh as much
They can only cry

That’s how my dad died
He was awesome but now he’s in heaven with angels
If only I could have him back
Cause I really miss him
Everyone looked up to him
His smile that made me happy
His spirit that made me a better person
Everyday I think of him
Thinking will he back today
Or tomorrow
Then I see he’s never coming back

God took him on December 23, 1999
My dad no longer smiled
He no longer had that laugh like before
I don’t understand why he died
Maybe I do
But it hurts to see pictures of him and I
A prefect friendship
Has ended in a horrible ending

Tears come running down my eyes
As I look at the Christmas tree
He always made every one feel loved

But I must move on in life
Show him how strong I’ve gotten
No one will ever replace my dad

Life brings tears, smiles, and memories. The tears dry, The smiles fade, The memories will stay forever.

Oh min, this is so sad yet incredibly touching. You always write such lovely pieces about your father that I wonder what it would have been like to meet him. He sounds like a truly wonderful person.

This is one of the saddest but most touching poems I have every read .I wish I could say I know what your going through but I can't so all I can say is that I'm so sorry and if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here.You have such a special talent for writting and this a truely beautiful piece.

Minna --- don't wish bad things to happen to yourself. You've been strong all this time and I believe your dad has been proud of that. Don't give up now, stay strong and fight till the end. That is what makes you special.....so, keep that head up okies
