A Prayer I wish on every first star I see and pray every single night that you will come back to me and make everything alright. As I pray I stare at the dark night sky and the tears roll down my hopeless face. I pray that you won't let me go and let another take my place. I wonder if I'm even heard of if I waste my time praying and wishing at night that you will become mine. Why can't my prayers be answered? Why won't my wishes come true? I don't ask for too much, I only want to be with you. Please god, if you are listning I feel it's meant to be Please let my prayers come true please bring him back to me. |

oh honey this is so touching, but I have to tell you, sometimes you thank God for the unanswered prayers...you won't see that till later, as life has blind corners we aren't meant to see around until we are there  If it's meant to be, it will be, and if not, it's because God knows there is something else in store for you. be patient....I do know how hard it is. and I remember having the same prayers....then later in life smiling and thanking God, for knowing what was best for me, even though at the time my heart was full of pain, from the want and the not understanding....(((hugs))) |

i agree with sea about what she said about your prayers coming true maybe not right away...you have to give those things time...i think this was a very emotional poem..i enjoyed it a lot..i think you expressed yourself nicely... *sigh* heart-breaking prayer...yes, it ahs touched me as well... and i think SEA said it all...and thats exactly what i needed to hear. in this poem, your emotions were very well protrayed...and sincerely written. i liked it. i relate to the prayer as i wish for certian things. Thank you guys so much. I know inside that I just have to wait but I am so impatient!! I mean I don't want to be sad but no matter how hard I try, nothing works. People love to take advantage of my kindness and I always forgive them. I can't help the way I feel ya know? It's so hard to sit back and just let life take its course with no say in what happens.
