You give me false hope And make me believe I feel like a child Blissfully naïve For awhile I thought That our love might survive But it was far from the truth Your love was never alive. My love never died It lives on twice as strong I wonder if my heart Is where it belongs You give me false hope And we are apart Now I’m picking up the pieces Of my broken heart. |

Naivity can be a blessing at times...being able to trust is a great gift that a lot of people have had robbed from them. It can hurt...especially when you want so badly to believe someone that you cling to any shred of hope they may give you, even if they're bathing you in searing fire all the while. Been there, done that in a relationship...finding someone who is always completely honest is exceedingly hard, and convincing them to tell you even what they think you don't want to hear is even harder. Relationships would be a lot more painless and stress free if people would just keep everything in the open so there's no guessing, leading on, or false hope. |

I'll have to admit I'm such a sucker for Broken Heart poems, and that's what caught my attention with this one. I sure wasn't disapointed, thats for sure. It all flowed together very well and the ending was perfect. Its hard, atleast for me, to understand how someone can be so weak when it comes to love and how your perception of them can be totally off. Ive been there, and it sucks that we arent all psychic and know what everyone's thinking, because you always end up learning the hard way. But neways..im rambling and off topic. so great post  **You can't always trust the people you want to** |

heartbreak sucks...especially when you know that the other person never loved you as much as you loved them. it hurts worse then it would have if he/she loved you in the first place. nice expression of self. keep postin' could the darkness be my friend? |
