This isn't poetry.  It's sentences. (edit - my bad, it's not even sentences, really, just words thrown together)
If you're going to announce something purely for attention or shock value, at least write it eloquently.  Learning to spell names is a nice start.

You know what..One of my close friends was killed in Columbine..I think you should have a heart..most of those kids didnt even get to live what they had in store for them.. So feel lucky that you are alive right now.. Its not there fault some kids shot down the school. I think you need to stop writing about stuff you don't KNOW and don't CARE about..yes we will move on..but the pain is still there..and you should be sent away..to see how it feels! People who have no heart in this world get no where! I can't express how mad that so not poem makes me feel!

....right.  i gotta agree with alan on this one as far as technical merit goes (that is to say it doesn't have any).  to address the message of your poem, it is this type of attitude that embodies a large problem in our society.  people become desensitized to violence and cease to care about the events that do not directly affect them.  if, for instance, your friend's wife were still buried beneath the rubble of the towers, as mine is, it might affect you a little more.

p.s.  i doubt your closing plea will touch the heart any woman after the initial message you present

Sometimes, the things that go unsaid are the only things worth hearing.

Grrrr Yeah...what they said.!
BC... I completely agree with that last sentiment there.  I felt the need to reply again; this just upsets me that some people can be so callous. It's one thing to become desensitized and not want to read it in the paper every day... but be kind and courteous of others feelings. Think before you act.

Okay,  I can understand where you are all coming from on this one...but... Do you have to be so mean?? I thought this was a place where you could freely discuss your emotions?? I do agree that some of the stuff he did say was insencitive but everyone is intittled to their own opinions and you all dont have the right to take that away from him.  As for the poem itself i thought it was a little cruel.  maybe instead of writing about the bad things in life write about the good things??

Well said banburycross. Very well said.

We need to let people be free to post what they want, but we don't have to give this more attention then it deserves, which is none. In reality, what am i even posting for...?

Well this is certainly interesting. I would actually like to know how you came to such a conclusion? While poetry is expression and you are free to express yourself anyway you like, perhaps an amount of tact would be somewhat of an advantage to your positive feedback in the future.

Well everybody is entitled to their opinion, but keep in mind that even though you don't care, others do.
This could be a cry for attention, but I'm not one to make an assumption on why you posted this piece.
You obviously knew it would piss people off. All I can say is that people did die, and lives were changed forever. Mostly for the worse-mind you.
Loosing somebody isn't fun, and if you don't know how that feels like then one day you will, and one day you'll look back on your poem and think just how opposite you're feeling when it actually happens to you.
So, please, next time try to keep in mind that you might be offending somebody, and not only offending somebody but HURTING them deeply.

Good luck with your future posts...

Just you wait, till the one who means everything to you doesnt call one night. Instead his mom does. Wondering where he is. Before you know whats happening youre driving your best friends mom down to the hospital to identify remains. Cause some idiot couldnt admit he was a little to tipsy to drive. Then you find out 3 more of your friends were killed in the crash too. Just wait until you have to go to the funerals and give eulogys.

Then you can tell me you dont care, and I'll accept it. But I care, I will always care.
