Dangerous Cars

90 on the highway,
95, 100, 125
The seat belt didn't click
The tank blinks yellow-red
The rain-drops rage with Danger.
Bright lights in the dim tunnel
Horns bellow in my ear
My car careens
and she breaks up.

It was the first night
And she was standing there;
Porsche 2001 911 GT2.
Her beauty attracted many a comer,
However, not mine.
I have cast away love as it is.
Its an engine that putters
And leaves you stranded in a highway
And even kills you.

It was the 2nd night
And she was still there,
Beckoning me to take her with me.
I was losing my restraints.
I had shut the doors to love,
But her presence slowly changed my mind.
I ran and sat in the seat and took her.

The nightly winds blew gently upon my face
The nightly stars sparkled against my eyes
My smile lightened as I shut my eyes
And let go the wheel.
Love is a fuel that empowers the engine
In order to ride the car.
Wont you let me take you for a ride?
You can stop the world,
try to change
My mind.
You can stop the world.
But you wont change me.

Horns bellow in my ear,
I open my eyes
She careens and crashes.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive.
