i wear collars and studded bracelets.
does any of that matter to you?
i wear torn shorts and band shirts.
does any of that matter to you?

love me for i am robin.
i am loud and gutsy!
i am bold and darin.
does any of this matter to you?

love me for who i am.
i am kind.
i am loveable.
i am caring.
i am me!

love me for i am....
a punk.
i am robin.
love me for me.
and nothing else!

when the day comes that you love me.i hope it will be just because you love me.
nothing more.

Very interesting piece, but I liked it. You tell it like it is, and if they don't like it then whatever. Keep up the great work.

You know, i do like the poem a lot but it kind of contradicts itself. You say you want to be loved for being you, but must u be classified as "punk". What IS punk?
If anything, and anything being love...the guy should love you for Robin being Robin, not Robin being punk.
A poem well done.
