Every time I see your face, Every time I hear your voice, I feel so safe inside Nothing can happen to me when I am with you. You protect me from my fears and my nightmares You wipe every tear I cry away And keep them in your pocket, for something else worth to cry about. When I am in your arms, It’s like a blanket So warm and protecting That can wrap around me And keep me warm and safe. I liked this. It was very sweet. I tend to lean toward the darker side of life in my writing, but I love to read a poem about love and trust. Thank you for posting. "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never have loved at all" ...but the pain of both is equally unbearable... |
