If only I hadn't a brain
then I wouldn't have to think
wouldn't have to think of all this crap I'm surrounded by
wouldn't have to think of all the ways my life could turn

If only I hadn't a heart
then I wouldn't have to feel
wouldn't have to feel this unjust pain from which I suffer
wouldn't have to feel her presence within my hellish prison

If only I hadn't courage
then I wouldn't hae to face
wouldn't have to face the ignorance and complexity of this society
wouldn't have to face my sole bein of who I am

BUT...

I do have a brain
a brain that analyzes everything I need for it to
I do have a heart
a heart that emotionalyzes every aspect of life I need for it to
And
I do have courage
courage that lets me live my life without ropes to tie me down
like I need the most

same-sex couples are like kama sutra - beautiful but misunderstood!

This poem was pretty good. I liked the idea behind it. And relating it to Wizard of Oz was pretty cool too.

its not to long but you can tell what your talking about and i alwayz have thought it was cool when you show one side to the other its like even though life can be the pits you have the power to go on sort of uplifting

as u go in life there will be ur hardships it is up to u if it makes u or breaks u.

I love that...I am a fan of the wizard of oz..Its really cool..I just started poetry..I have a hole note book full..I just now gotta type them..

I love how you used the Wizard of Oz in this. "If I only had a heart" Ha! If only they knew! Great write, I really enjoyed this!
