~November Remembrance.~

Clouds in early winter,
Snowfall on the ground,
A bugle breaks the silence,
Red pools all around.

We stand here and remember,
What our veterans gave,
We thank them for our freedom,
By laying poppies at their grave.

Underneath our union flag,
We think of all these men,
And wish that their great sacrifice,
Had led to peaceful ends.

On the 11th Hour of the 11th day of the 11th Month, the Armistice with Germany was sounded and ended The Great War (WW1) every year Britain looks back and remembers those have fought and died to preserve our freedoms. We do this in two ways, by wearing poppies and donating money to the Royal British Legion( who care for our veterans) and by observing a minutes silence in remembrance for those who have fought and died in service of King, Queen and Country.

Wonderful tribute! It's important to remember those whose lives were lost for our country.
