Shadows are painted across my walls,
I’m saddened by the lack of light inside my mind,
I’m pessimistic, idealistic, surrealistic,
Happily unsatisfied with being unrefined.

Fear is clouding my every single thought,
I’m saddened by the lack of light in my life,
I’m erratic, happily monochromatic, idiomatic,
Dancing with sorrowed glee inside my strife.

It’s my choice to follow the darker road,
I’m saddened by the lack of light inside my soul,
I’m denied, cast aside, delightfully horrified
By all the righteous evils of this hellhole.

Leave me in my sorrow, leave me in my pain,
I’m delighted by this life so bitter tart,
You want to better understand my mind?
Be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart.

hmmmmmmm...  intriguing.

i liked it.  there's something about it, i just don't know what.  i must say i do like the first stanza best.

I have to say the format rocks. You did good on this one and I mean that. Dark and moody, it put me in the attitude for a while.
