Dear dad,
Thinking of you makes me want to cry
But then I think about the funny stuff
Like when you burnt the grill cheeses
You told me keep my mouth shut so I did
Sometimes I wonder why did cancer kill a good person
You were everyone’s hero
Everyone looked up to you
We all loved you

I’m moving up in the world
I’m graduating and you’ll be there in spirit
I’ll never forget you
The memories that you and I had will stick with me forever
No one can ever replace you in my life

Everyday I think what’s he doing in heaven?
Sleeping with Lucy?
Watching over us as the world turns into a scary place?
I sometimes want you back
So I can see your smiling face in the morning

I can tell so many good things about you
How you would make Lucy and I pancake on Sunday morning
You didn’t care that Lucy was a dog
We’d eat while mom and Suvi were at church
I loved seeing you every morning

But now I don’t see you
Because you’re in heaven
You must be in the house watching us get ready for the day
I will never forget the memories that we had

Love,
Minna

Oh hon, that is so hard! Awesome, beautiful tribute to your father!

If you define cowardice as running away, tripping and screaming at the first sign of danger, then yes, Mister Brave Man, I guess I am a coward.
