Me As a toddler I walked without fear, I used to take pride in all that was near. Used to sit with myself and not shed a tear, The simplicity of my life was yet not clear. Between the stars of boredom I would create, A world of my own in which I prevailed. Within my ideas I sailed, Through and ocean of truth I could only invent. Some time later the warmth of my room just wasn’t enough, And my walls were no longer worthy of being taught, It got boring there being all alone, And having boundaries for the rest of my thoughts. That’s when I took my growing body outside, And was amazed how much fun it was. Between climbing a tree and watching the falling stars, I learned the beauty that there sparked. Somewhere in there my heart got wild, My eyes light seekers in the middle of the night My body a lover that held me tight, As I licked the knowledge of that which gave me a fright. Now, all I crave for is freedom, And the thought of it invades my use of reason, But for now I’ll conform with the change of the seasons, Until I completely flourish out of this prison.  |

Wow I had no idea that you would join Mariola. It's great to finally see a poem from you. I have read one before but it's really great to see you join such a wonderful group of poets in their growing and sharing. I'm sure Laura brought you here, but hey I brought laura so i should take some credit for another awesome member joining hehe. I really liked the poem and I'd just like to welcome you to the wonderful walls of Passions....enjoy yourself and come into the Discussion Forums in Teen Chat and chill there for a while. WOWOWOWOW!!!! mariola this is SUCH an awesome first post!! you totally blew me away with this one! i loved the way in which it was written-it had a very nice flow to it. i can see you put a lot of effort into this one, and no doubt the end result is amazing!
