Okay I don't really like this one, but I'll work on it...

You expect me to be strong;
So I am.

You expect me to be sweet;
So I am.

You expect me to love;
So I do.

You don't expect me to cry;
So I don't.

You don't expect me to be depressed;
So I don't tell you.

You don't expect me to be shy;
So I'm not.

You want me to be myself;
How can I when you stereotype me
To what I once was?

So I am what you think I am:
Stereotypical me.

Mr T trusts me with coaching the Jr. Girls rugby team. What was he THINKING?!?!?!

A well written poem that is not afraid to bluntly state the facts. I think you did a good job using this form of free verse. I think you should not be afraid to stand up to conformity of this nature. It's really not healthy to stay bound up in someone else's image of you.

Thanks for the replies guys... I just feel so... conformed I guess. I can't tell anyone what's really on my mind cause it's not going along with what people think I am... I'm working on it, but it's really hard.

this one really flowed nicely.
I really hate it when people stereotype me, but there's nothing we can really do about it, however when it's done by someone you care about, that's when the hurt really comes.

Nice work.
