I beg myself to wake up
To say t'was just a dream
Alas I'm wide awake
I'm screaming in my mind
And shivering in my heart
Because the one thing in this world
I love more than anything
May soon be mine no longer

I get down onto my knees
And pray like I never have before
Silently and aloud
As tears rain down
Drowning in fear
I try to surface for air
Gasping as my body shakes
Silently begging I ask God
Let him be in love with me,
Let him be mine.
