This long awaited night,
looking for the presents,
all the colorful wrapping paper,
all my friends by my side.
Singing the birthday song
around the big chocolate cake.
That special age of sixteen,
means nothing anymore...
a long awaited night,
nothing left to adore...
my forgotten birthday.

my parents actually. they've been so busy with everything lately nobody has mentioned anything about me birthday. it's today and the treat it like it means nothing and it's just another day.
