Well it's been a while.  I won't be suprised if this poem gets misinterpreted, but let me know what you think...

In the wake
     of a
       realization
My world spins
     and suddenly
       I'm scared
Comfort slips
     from my
       finger tips
As I look
     down on
       my life

Seeing my life
     through
       new eyes
Through the eyes
     of a
       freer man
A man I admire
     and have strove
       to be
These are my eyes
     this is my vision
       my life

As I remove the glasses
     prescribed by
       society
I realize two things,
     nearly
       simultaneously
I see life much clearer
     without it's
       prescription
But it's scary feeling
     this alone...

I'LL CHOOSE MY OWN'

This is a very good piece, Jason. It sounds as if you've had some awakening inside of yourself. I wouldn't dare try to interpret anymore of it...I'm sure I'd get it wrong.
Nice to see you posting.

So you're not dead. Damnit, I just lost a bet.    lol

Like Jenn said, it is good to see you posting again. An interpretation of mine for this piece is going in a direction I don't think I'll voice here so I'll just say well done on the piece. Hope to see more soon.
