I remember how you’d look at me with your brown eyes Your tail would always wag and never stop When I had food you would find your way to me When you 1st came to me I was scared of you Because you were big But soon we were soon to become friends for life We would go to the mall together People would say you’re so cute! Everyone loved you We’d go online together Dad would feed you pancakes you’d love them In February of 2001 you had cancer The vet took you toe off You had a cast pretty soon you got better I took you camping Lucy you loved the ducks And we would take you everywhere Then when I went back to school You looked at me like where are you going I told you I’d be back Three weeks later you got weaker You couldn’t drink or eat So mom brought you to the vet She said you didn’t move You didn’t want to come home Soon you died of skin cancer When the news broke to me I didn’t know what to say I couldn’t believe that you went up to heaven Even though you were a dog You were my best friend in the whole world Now my room is so empty No dog bed No dog dishes No dog looking at me I will always miss you No dog will ever replace you Now you’re with dad in heaven or where ever you are Minna September 21, 2001 <i>I always thought that we would look back on our crying and laugh, but I never knew we would look back on our laughter and cry. Aww..this is really sad.  If your dog was in pain, its gone to a much better place with your dad. Nice write and keep strong.  ~AF~ Please put waste in a bin |
