It's not one of my best but I'd like to share it with you guys anyway, I'd love to hear what you think.

In my mind I see you, as you were meant to be,
A pure and perfect angel, sent from God to me,
But doctors disagreed, said you never would grow old,
Cystic Fibrosis is what they called it, the disease that turned your body cold,

We tried so hard to fight it, and I know that you tried too,
But your place was with the angels, thats why they came for you,
I knew you were my miracle, the chance to prove my worth,
You gave my life a purpose, you were my angel here on earth,

I thought my life had finally begun, when you arrived one January day,
If I had only known how short and sweet would be your stay,
I thought you'd remain forever, that we had a lifetime to share our love,
But my dream was not to be, for God quickly took you back above,

I guess he must've saw that I did not deserve so precious a babe to raise,
And so he took you from me in his sure and knowing ways,
Such a short trip you had here, on earth and in my arms,
Theres so much you hadn't done, you never even saw Grandpa's farm,

Wish that I could tell you son, of all this love I hold inside,
Wish that it was in my arms instead of just my heart that you did reside,
I know that I can't live in the past, for my miracle has come and gone,
But my son I hope you know that without you here I just can't find the point in going on,

I dreamed of the day I could cradle you in my arms, nestled against my chest,
But I didn't think the day would come when I'd dress you to sleep in eternal rest,
Your face was so angelic, your skin so soft and sweet,
You looked like a little gentleman, your suit sso new and neat,

Not like my vibrant boy, blue eyes sparkling in devilish delight,
Too calm and serious you laid, bathed in the church's light,
Your hair was neatly combed, everything was as it aught,
You looked like a tiny cherub, lost in heavenly thought,

I wanted so much to pick you up and take you home with me,
To fulfill all our dreams, create a lifetime of memories,
I loved everything about you, your every different look,
But my love was not enough, though I watched every breath you took,

My precious angel baby I was so glad you came,
I just wish you were still here, that things could've stayed the same,
Know that not a single second passes that you aren't on my mind,
And trust that when I get my own wings, you'll be the first angel that I find.

Again, i love the song that you mentioned. i am sad for your lost but this is what i tell myself... "must not we mourn for the lost, but rejoice in the things brought to us by our loved ones"   that is what keeps me going.

Things I Have Learned I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in

Wow...
Long, But absolutely wonderful! So emotional, It tugged at my heart...My eyes were brimming with lil tear drops. You did an INCREDIBLE job here...Such a sad story you told....But you did an absolute job doing it.

United we stand, Divided we fall.
Never say die.
