ok this is brought on by today's events wow...

Chaos it roams down the city street
the people cry and run in retreat
rescue workers unable to help at all
as they slowly watch the city fall
One nation under God...

The pentagon up in flames the people screaming
but beyond the distance THE FLAG IS STILL GLEAMING
"and the Rockets red flare, the bombs bursting in air, GAVE through to the NIGHT that our flag is still THERE."

This is for those now gone away
no matter what we will not forget this day
we will mourn for you in the days to come
for now you help the Angel's hum
to the families of those that are lost
know that this action comes at a cost
a nation now pulled together once again
let the rebuilding of our families slowly begin
draw a nation divided back together
and Let America the beautiful reign forever...

we fall like the stars then rise like the sun..Repentence.Forgiveness.We are blame worthy hold us to our wrongs..but don't hold our wrongs against us

I liked the poem on the personal level, where it described the panic and pandamonium[sp] as a result of this tragedy.  However, I cannot say I agree with the rather patriotic attitude it held, raising America onto a throne, where it reigns forever.  In my opinion, it was this very attitude that contributed to the individual or group's decision to commit this horrible act.  I am sorry for sounding cold in light of such an awful incident, but I must simply state that all empires throughout history have only reigned for so long.  No great power goes unchallenged.

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh"

Things I Have Learned I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in

Good job, Jimmy. The break in the middle was a nice touch. Don't just think of the Americans that lost their lives, think of ALL that did....
