Ok well this is for Cherish and Lizzy, yes Cricket is dedicated to the ashes series 2001and our little battle of the nations. Hmm it's not quite what you asked for but then again I don't think I could ever trash my country in such a way, yes we suck at cricket but we have dogged determination and that Dunkirk spirit. Ok about the poem... it's not the best or my worst but i don't really like it maybe cause i wrote it after my writers block. Accompanying this poem is the message that England sucks... oh and i'm sorry that this is so late  Cricket. We watch as our whole empire, Falls before our eyes, The leather hits the wicket Under these cloudy skies, Our subjects have revolted, Masters now just slaves, As our wickets tumble, Our empire digs our graves. Our heroes are down hearted, Lost all faith in us, The death of our old empire, Something we can’t discuss, Our armies stride forth, Battle they do commence, They bowl against our batsman, The last line of our defence. We lose another battle, We concede and lose the war, Our armies are defeated, Destroyed like none before, But still we have a spirit, We stood there back to back, As proud as we are ever, Of our flying Union Jack. Well I guess you guys lost your cricket game? I wouldn't know anything about that....oh well. Good luck in the next game!  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

It took a brave man to do what you did Zu, you should be proud. You took one for your country and you'll have another long period of time to prepare for the same ass whooping next year! well, lol, Cherish and Lizzy sure seem to love that... anyway, I don't like all the bashing England takes in the poem, but it is a very well written one. thanks for sharing Zu... I'm not as drunk as some tinkle peed I am! |
