The person I once loved,
      and the person you are now,
            are not the same people.

One was kind and daring,
       atleast enough to risk dating me,
               and was the one I loved.

The other is mean and secretative,
         who hides things from me,
                and won't take a risk for love.

Who are you now, who were you then?
        what happened, because you're not you anymore,
                you're not the person I fell in love with.

If you're not you, not the you that I knew,
         what went wrong to change you,
                 and who are you now?

Wow, I feel that exact feeling. This poem explained your feelings well...*sigh* #17 isn't too happy these days...more like depressed. It's good to know that someone else feels this way!

Have you ever considered that maybe he isn't the one that changed? Woooo [cue twilight zone music].

It sounds like an annoying situation but if life was made easy we'd all be sitting around Jamaica with several alcoholic beverages and people fanning us down from the heat.

What if Lizzy's right...? What if it's us who finally got to see reality? Maybe the situation changed... maybe we, ourselves, changed and so now we see the truth. Maybe they were always that way....grrr....

i understand what u mean when you say "the person i loved isnt the person you are now" or something along those lines...i feel that way at the moment and i kno i've felt that way in the past too..its a sad feeling..im sorry hun ::hugs::

this is a sad one, dont you hate it when you get to a point in a relationship and you find out that the person you feel in love with isnt the person you are with? *sigh* i hope things get better for you soon...good job on the poem, you got your point across pretty well if i say so myself..

wouldnt it be wonderful if children werent scared of looking up at the sky?
