I said the words without thinking
Not foreseeing their effect
Upon realizing what I said I panicked
Filled with instantaneous regret
I didn't understand your reasoning
Why one choice is so much graver than the other
Why to fast merits little worrying
But to get rid of the food is so very horrible
I tried to sort it out
It doesn't register in my twisted little mind
I listen as you plead
And struggle not to lose control
I can't promise
Nor can I answer questions that I ask myself
So I left you hanging as I do now
I listened to Ja Rule on the way home
With some fat free, sugar free ice cream
Swallowed as bits of glass slid down my throat
And turned to sand.
Craig, I don't understand.

Eating disorders, whether it be being bulemic or anorexic...BOTH will kill you int he end. A friend of mine died a couple years ago from it. Very sad. It weakens your heart to do this to yourself, And even after she had triumphed over her disease and gotten help and so on...She has a heart attack and seisure and died in her sleep a year later.  Ya, you get skinny, but the long term effects it has on you...VERY BAD and RISKY stuff. It's just not worth it at all. AWESOME poem. I absolutely loved it...Ecspecially the ending. You did absolutely spectacular on this write (As you do all your other pieces.) "I listen as you plead
And struggle not to lose control" I'm assuming this is Craig? He's trying to help you. listen to him. Hope to see much more posts from you soon. I love reading your work.

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.

You really need to seek professional help if this is being a huge problem, and if it came down to it being even bigger, i would urge your boyfriend to tell the proper individuals to care for u

it irks me what the others said about this. i really dont know what to say that would help your situation in anyway. i liked the imagery within this poem a lot which to  me was sumthing i could go without commenting about. i hope that whatever it is that youre going through will come to pass quickly. i enjoyed this poem muchly.

Bel, you always write these pieces that provoke quite a bit of thought. In the end, you will do what you want to do and no amount of pleading will let you do otherwise. You did write with emotion which is always good to see but my views on eating disorders won't be discussed here.

Thanks for the read.
