Up in the mountains in the NFC

I can’t stand the struggle, can’t take it anymore
The government feeds the wealthy, and then it starves the poor
Corruption in the infrastructure, watch it crashing to the ground
Forced to sit, idly by, without making a sound
There’s rebellion in my silence, I whisper contradiction
Everyday I dream of violence, against those who spread conviction
Let’s take the power back, it’s our time to react
The feds have gone and raped our trust and broke the sacred pact
Constitution’s phony, nothing more than words
Promises they cannot keep, it all seems so absurd
All men are created equal, and then are treated different
How can my life’s worth be based on what I’ve spent
The almighty dollar is just a joke
Don’t care how many you got, cause you’re still broke
Without freedom, we’re all poor
Can’t break loose when you can’t find the door
It’s a door that they won’t let you through
Can’t hold all the cards when they can’t control you
Cause it only takes 1 to start a revolution
It only takes 1 to create a solution
They’re afraid of us, the time has come to unite
All those who bear arms, it’s our turn to fight
Citizens by day, and guerillas by night
I want to go to D.C. and watch the capitol burn
They had their chance, but now it’s our turn
Tear down the institution, cause it’s time to rebuild
Can’t make up for lost time or the blood we’ve spilled
Too late to turn your head now
Democracy is dead now
Watch the fire spread now
Start to rebel and watch heads bow
Want to start it off then I’ll show you how
Cause Democracy is dead, it’s our turn now

Guess I got a little political with this one. It happens when I listen to Rage Against the Machine alot. This will eventually be a song. Hope you guys don't hate it too much!

"Your anger is a gift"-Rage Against The Machine
"Only God can judge me" Tupac Shakur

I liked this one, it is really good, and I agree, there ARE problems with the gov't.  A song you say!  Well I wish you the best of luck to you and hope to see this on a CD soon.

Love will come and love will go, but friends are forever (usually).

Dammit! Cherish stole my fav lines, AGAIN!

Anyway, I liked the poem. I though tyou did an awesome job on it, pulling ideas fromt he constitution etc etc...But as for the statement as a whole, I do not agree. I think Americans need to live in another country for awhile just to see how good they actually have it. Nothing is perfect. But damn we have it pretty danm good compared to most.

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.
