you promised me you'd never leave,
you'd always ring,
you'd forever care!
But winters melting into spring,
without you.

With fresh picked flowers in my hair,
You never called,
I don't think you care?
And springs burning into summer,
without you.

*~!~*

So where are you now?
while summer heats its sunblest beaches,
And melts whatever snowmen stand.
With the promises you made?
Gone i guess.

*~!~*

Among millions of fallen leaves,
I lie alone,
I get over you.
And autumn dries into winter,
again.

Icy parks and frosty mornings,
I meet new people,
I forget you,
I'm not scared anymore to stand alone,
again.

*~!~*

So winters back? been a year?
It's not the snow thats cold this year,
It's memories... i'd rather be alone this year?
If thats ok with you?

I liked this.  I have a friend, who I feel should be left unnamed, who wet through what this poem was about.  I wish I could relate myself, but I have never been in that position.  I am glad you are getting over whoever it was.  He/she wasen't worth it.

Nice write here, Allie.
I particularly liked the line baout you laying on millions of leaves.
I loved how you went through each season...Very nicely done. I enjoyed it bunches!

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.

this reminded me of a song that Destiny's Child (atleast the title did) where they go "so where are you now? Now that I need you, tears on my pilliow, wherever you are."
Something like that.  Great expression!

I thought this was ok. Not yer best, but still a good read. Hope to see more.
