Once upon a window sill
I sat upon a star
I gazed beyond the universe
And travelled near and far.

I danced upon the cotton clouds
And raced the wind to Rome.
I laughed out loud with silver bells
At statues made of stone.

I went to Saturn then to Mars
To capture fireflies.
I rode upon an Oliphaunt
And argued with the wise.

I flew to Never Neverland
And sailed seven seas
I landed on a flower's stem
And hummed the song of bees.

I blasted off on rocketships
And vanished out of sight
I tripped the light of fire flames
That flickered in the night.

I rode upon an angel's wings
And danced across the sea
I jumped up high to touch the sky
Where no one could catch me.

I fought a dragon huge and fierce
With my sword and sheild.
I learned of charms by Merlin's books
Where every spell's revealed.

I rode upon a speeding train
That passed a blurry man
I tossed my coat and hat to fly
With Super Duper man!

To live in worlds from my own mind
Would be hopeless it seems.
I sighed a sigh and went to sleep...

Besides, they're only dreams...

As the title says, I dedicate this to all the dreamers. Wrote this at 1am...hehe. It somehow popped into my head... Ah well...enjoy.

Much love,
Leah

I agree, this really was awesome.  The rhyming seemed flawless at times, and I can proudly say I smiled at this poem.  Insomnia might be a good thing for you.  Once again great job Leah.

I LOVED that stanza.  This poem's awesome.. the ending hit me hard.  That last line really hit home.  Awesome work, Leah.  This is another wonderful poem.  Dreams are the best..
