Okay, I'll be honest and say the idea for the poem came from the "Pearl Diver" by Carl Sandburg.  The format is just something really cool to toy with.

The Life of the Party

They call her the life of the party...and laugh
She's what they decide to be
For them she's merriment
Free of disease
Free of her mind
Which is at home wishing
She were dead
They call her the life of the party...and laugh..

"and Death i think is no paranthesis"-e.e. cummings

Sad...kind of ironic in a way. You mirrored life and death well...how she's the life of the party, yet she wishes she were dead. And you portrayed the sense of cruelty in humans here too, which made it easier to believe. Sense of realism, or so that's what they call it. Bah.
Great work, Sean! And have fun at school...hehe.

This is a VERY well written poem.  Short, but powerful in its simplicity.  I liked the repitition of the first line.  Very well done!  A lot can be read into this poem.. it talks down to society, almost.  Nice work!
