I say you could never stand to be near me. You say you simply didn't want to scare me off. Everytime we were together you stood two feet away. You were supposed to be my boyfriend. I say you have a secondhand opinion. You ask me what that is and why I feel that way. You let everyone else's opinions influence your own. You'll never see who I really am if you don't open your eyes. It's true that you could never stand to be near me. You would never hold my hand when we were together. Let alone actually hug or kiss me ever. I have no memory of that at all. Just a memory of being lonely. You have a secondhand opinion of just me. You let what they say take an influence over what you think. Close your eyes and take my hand and let me lead the way. You might be surprised the next time you open your eyes. You won't let me get in the way of anything. ANd every time you turn around there I am. It's like I follow you around everywhere you go. I just want you to learn what it's like to live the otherside of the story. You've got a secondhand opinion about the way I live life. You let what they say about me influence your decisions. They're the reason you won't love me anymore. Open your eyes and see who I really am.  Someone once taught me that it doesn't matter what other people think of you as long as you like yourself. That's what I live by. |

I liked this one. It was so sad, but I could relate so much. I had a girlfriend who broke up with me cause of secondhand opinions, it's so jacked they don't even see you for the real person. I'm ignorant too then. I still love mine. He's been informed otherwise, but oh well. Someone once taught me that it doesn't matter what other people think of you as long as you like yourself. That's what I live by. |

Allysa that was a nice poem I liked it, it was cute  Min Some people come into our lives and go quickly. Some people stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. We are never ever the same. |

That's terrible.. the situation i mean!  The poem is wonderful. I'm so sorry this happened to you though. Some people are just too blind and concerned with what other people think.. and end up missing out on amazing things.. I hope things get better for you.. keep up the great work! ugh what a so and so. Do you want me to beat him up??  This is a really crappy situation and I feel for you. At least you have done what so many chicks are unable to do - REALISE that he's doing this to you. It would take a lot of strength to know that someone is doing this to you and standing up to them. The piece itself was really sad. Come over here and we can beat him up together! We can kidnap him, duct tape him to the floor, wait for him to fall asleep, and then tell him the house is on fire and hear him scream! Okay, so I'm psyco. Anyways, I've got other guys and such, so I guess it's over. I don't want him if it's gonna be like that. The person I fell in love with and him are two totally different people. Someone once taught me that it doesn't matter what other people think of you as long as you like yourself. That's what I live by. |

I think you wrote about it very well... and as EJ said, you did something MANY others wouldn't be able to in the same situation... you realized things weren't right, and got tough. This is such a horrible situation to be in...i hate it when people cant think for themselfes and they let others influence them...i think you'd be a lot happier w/out him but thats always easier said then done! |

My man now is.....Creamy Goodness, and AJ. You've heard me mention AJ before, we're emailing each other back and forth, and it's cool. He's such a sweetheart. I feel special. I have no idea how him and Justin are even friends. They're completly different. AJ's personality is like Justin's old personality. Sugarpie313 married my poem!
