I always liked this one and didn't get that many responses when I first posted,so here it is,all the way from Teen #3 Waiting By The Phone I'm sitting home alone Just staring at the phone Lord, how I want it to ring Just to hear your voice But it's over And I don't have a choice I have to stop waiting by the phone for you to call If I want to be someone at all I can't let you run my life I can't let you drag me down You didn't want me hanging around So I left without a sound I can tell you won't be back I know that you're gone I just have to live my life Cause I know I must move on It's so hard to fight back these tears It's so damn hard to stay strong When I think of the time we spent together Or I hear your favorite song I pray to God to get you back Even though I know it's wrong I did not want to leave Now I'm trying not to grieve Every time the phone rings, I know it must be you Every time it isn't, and I begin to feel blue I must realize that you're not gonna call Cause to you I don't mean nothing, nothing at all I know I'm beating myself up I know I'm not to blame Then I see you with another And all I can feel is the shame How could I let you go Why didn't I stop and just say no But you, you had the final say so You're the one that chose to fly You're the one that said good-bye You decided to leave me In the end you set me free Livin' this lie just isn't right Telling myself we'll be all right We had no chance to stay together I knew this love wouldn't last forever It was your choice and yours alone So I'll get up from this phone And I'll leave you on your own "Your anger is a gift"-Rage Against The Machine |

Wow.. I know exactly how this feels, as I'm sure many people here do. This is a very hard thing... Did you break up with her, or she with you? I would think it would be harder if she broke up with you. But sitting around and waiting for her to come around when you know she won't is probably the worst thing. Hrm.. I really connected with this one. This poem also shows how long you've come as a poet. Your works in TP5 compared to this are very different. I enjoyed this  Was this one of your first works ever, or just your first in Passions?Well done! --Marie You think yourself a failure, but perhaps the biggest loss is winning. |

Okay..I usually won't reply to "reposts" BUT! Since I wasn't here for Teen 3 and I have a soft spot for you...hereI am. LMAO. And I'm actually glad I stopped by. Sucha common feelin...Such a common action. I so know what you meant by..: "Or I hear your favorite song I pray to God to get you back" Damn those songs...Those get me the worst... Anyway- Nice write. I thought you did a spectacular job. You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did. |

Well hey now, look at all these reposts... Well done here. I mean if it's a repost i've most likely read it before unless it's from teen#2. Anyhow, a poem well done.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Jon~ I dont know if I ever read this one...I was around in #3 but at least I got to it now!!! I really like it...I feel the same way about my ex...But I dont sit around waiting for him I just hope...Its sad though...You just need to move on!!! And you know what else??? keoni, I had a love like this once. I know it was very hard to let go. But I finally did, and my life is ok. Still haven't met Mr. Right yet, but I'm still happy. I liked this a lot. Dawn |
