BOY NO LONGER LONELY

As he held the knife
He thought just one last time
Did anybody care for him?
He didn't feel worth a dime

He held up the knife
To his pounding chest
Then he got one last idea
A black book; his final guess

He began to read
Of the friend God can be
Right then, right there
He dropped down to his knees

He discovered the love of God
And though noone seemed to care
He knew down in his heart
That God will be there

He threw the knife
Onto the hardwood counter
His suicidal thoughts dissappeared
After his God encounter

Through accepting God
He had one friend
The friend that never leaves
A true friend until the end

What a poem! I loved the message. Great job here Cody. I found this to be inspiring. Well said.

Hey,

Ah what a twist from your last where you said he did commit suicide. I really like this ending better. Thanks for sharing! Until your next poem

Oh wow!  I wasn't expecting that to happen... this one is awesome!  Very powerful message.  I really connected with this one.  Hit home... Nicely done, Cody... VERY well written poem you have here.  I encourage you to add more to the series... I'm curious to know what happens next
