One moon to cast a glow
One wind to brush them
One sun for day to show
To let the dark surround them.

One force to anchor all
One cloud to fade them
One light to banish all
And in the darkness call them.

we love what is lost, but does what we lost love us back??
don't worry about the past, the future is far more important, unless you did something

Tolkien influence... gee, that makes the entire poem relatively cryptic since JRR Tolkien, in my experience, was always full of strange surprises. ^_^  I still have to read a few more of his works, but definitely a good person to have influence you... and it showed. ^_^  The poem was short and to the point (short and to the point... not exactly my poetry strength... lol), and very mysterious... the rhymes were cute and fit the poem really well. ^_^  Nice job on this one...

But you know, as for the answer to the riddle, I'm with Kevin. ^_^  The first thing that came to my mind was shadows... and there's no second thing that comes to mind, so, let us in on the secret of the poem's riddle, yes? ^_^v

Awright, awright...
Most of you guessed it. It's shadows. 'min avathar' is 'my shadows' in Elvish (and also the name of my site, but anywho...) and basically, the answer was there in front of you the whole time... hehe. Kind of.

This was really interesting, Leah.  I really liked your explinations, because I was lost while reading.  But after your responses, I went back and read it again, and I really liked what you came up with.  Very interesting.. thanks for sharing this.
