I have writers block.  This is an oldie, but I hope you like it all the same.

I have spent
half of my life
trying unsuccessfully
to hide from my past.
Trying to escape
the nightmares that haunt me.
Trying to erase
the memories that stalk me.
Holding on
only brings more pain
to your slowly healing heart
but hiding
simply tears it apart.
So now I know
that hiding from the past
is a waste of the future.

I need more time to find the real me...
to fly like the birds... to be set free.

You amaze me evrytime you wrute you know that? This helps remind me of a Love I still ahve that shouldn't of gone that deep. The fact that I've also spent half my life trying this and that to make up for evrything, its a reminder and a mediator at that. I congratulate ya'. /Nick/

This was a nice poem. It's not your best, but it is good as always. I liked the ending best.
"So now I know
that hiding from the past
is a waste of the future."
Nice job. I hope the writer's block disappears soon.

I enjoyed this one here. Hope to see more soon!

This was very good, Amanda.  I LOVED the last few lines... those were definitely my favorite, and had a big impact.  Nice ending.  I think this poem shows how far you've come as a poet.  Good luck with the damned writer's block.. no fun, I know.  Nicely done here.

Very powerful... Are you sure you didn't sneak into my house and find my notebook and swpie it?   hehe I know all too well how you felt, and if you still feel this way, feel. I loved this... Definately a library piece.
